Projet Fournelle
The Story Behind The Fournelle Project
It all started with a simple dream: to spend weeks on the road with their children, their dog, and all the comforts of home. To bring that vision to life, we built a custom 22-foot Mercedes Sprinter featuring three sleeping spaces, complete off-grid autonomy, and an interior thoughtfully designed for family adventures.
The Details That Make All the Difference
A Rooftop Tent That Changes Everything
To allow the whole family to travel comfortably without sacrificing living space, a four-wall electric rooftop tent was added to the build.
Accessible from inside the van in just a few seconds, it provides a third sleeping area while preserving a spacious interior for everyday life on the road.
But this tent offers much more than just extra sleeping space. Sleeping in the rooftop tent means waking up to breathtaking views and enjoying a front-row seat to the landscapes that surround you.
Built for Life Off the Grid
Designed for extended adventures, this van was built to provide complete independence on the road.
Its high-capacity electrical system, diesel water heater, and Starlink internet allow its owners to stay comfortable, connected, and self-sufficient, wherever their travels take them.
The Comforts of Home, on the Road
Featuring a flexible living space, a fully equipped kitchen, a projector, an independent sound system, and air conditioning, this build was designed for more than just travel — it was designed for living.
Every detail contributes to a comfortable, welcoming space that feels like home, wherever the journey leads.
Life After Delivery
Since delivery, the Fournelle van has traveled more than 30,000 km across North America. Designed to provide freedom, comfort, and complete autonomy, this project continues to fulfill its purpose: allowing a travel-loving family to explore without limits and make the most of every mile along the way.
